Shaheen Beats Amu 2-0 in First APL Match
Defending champions Shaheen Asmayee F.C beat Mawjhai Amu 2-0 on Sunday evening in the first match of the 7th annual Afghan Premier League football tournament in Kabul.
The first half of the match ended without any goals being scored despite Shaheen having had a number of chances at netting the ball.
The second half continued at the same pace, with Shaheen being mostly on the offensive.
Finally in the 52nd minute of the game, Shaheen’s Hussain Alizada scored for his team.
Twenty five minutes later, in the 77th minute, another Shaheen’s player, Faridon Hakimi, netted the ball for his team – raising to score to 2-0.
Monday night’s game will see Oqaban Hindukush and De Maiwand Atalan face each other in the second game of the tournament – which is expected to be held over a month.
