12 Schoolteachers Kidnapped In Nangarhar Released

At least 12 schoolteachers and two officials of the Ministry of Education who were kidnapped by fighters loyal to Daesh militants 49 days ago in Nangarhar were released on Saturday.

The schoolteachers were kidnaped from Mashar Mullah School in Haska Mina district in the province.

The abductees were released in an effort by security forces and tribal elders in the province.

This comes after Daesh militants’ activities are seen in parts of Nangarhar province particularly in Kot district where the militant group kidnapped dozens of civilians last year.
