BAZAR: Ban On Import Of Saffron Bulbs Discussed

The saffron farmers union said Afghanistan now has enough saffron and bulbs so there is no need to import them from other countries. 

The ban on imports of saffron and saffron bulbs from abroad will drive the price of saffron up both locally and on the international market.  
 
The saffron farmers union welcomed the move and say they have sufficient saffron and bulbs which will now help grow the sector.
